"Capture the moisture and flavor of foods"

New IMPERIAL KAMADO...our motto "Tasting is Believing !"

Thank you for your purchase. We appreciate your wonderful messages and comments on your satisfaction as new owners and fans of Imperial Kamado. We remind you again why our users are saying Imperial Kamado is the World's best cooker/smoker and no one else can make this claim.
To our prospective customers, please compare our features against other imitation products as to the quality, price and our service through the internet.

We stand by our motto and we don't want you to be misled by imitation products.
New Imperial Kamado
originated the traditional Japanese Kamado cooker/smoker.

Here is Why it's the Best:

  • It is made of earthenware, which puts it in a whole different league from the competition. Products made of ceramic/composites, stoneware or metal may look like the Imperial Kamado but they do not cook like the Imperial Kamado.

  • Our earthenware material is similar to that of a brick oven used at bakeries...it expands with heat and the thermos-like quality quickly achieves and locks in heat and captures the moisture and flavor of foods.
Furthermore, less heat is lost to the outside and therefore more efficient than any other grill. Because of less heat conduction, you may safely touch the outside of surface while cooking.

  • This unique design and the construction means less charcoal is needed. For excellent results like delicious, tender and juicy meats, the most suitable temperatures for slow-cooking are: 230F-260F for approximately 2-3 hours.

  • Because of the low heat, especially when the coals are waning, cheese may be smoked and bread baked in the Imperial Kamado. This is something different from other cookers.

  • Note the small size of our fire box compared to other cookers that copy us. Again, less charcoal is needed ! The large size #5 Imperial Kamado requires a maximum of only 30 briquettes to start with. The seven holes located around the firebox maintain heat circulation and control.

  • We are asked why Imperial Kamado does not have a thermometer installed.

The reason is simple. It really does not contribute to the already perfected Kamado. We found that adding a thermometer only measures the temperature of the air inside the cooker and this does not correlates with the temperature of the meat. Making a hole will damage the performance of Kamado cooking.
If you really want to know the meat temperature, our recommendation is to insert a good-quality spike thermometer directly into the meat during the last 30 minutes of your projected cooking. (Opening and quickly closing the lid to read the temperature when desired.)
With experience you will be able to cook without the thermometer. The old-time Japanese cooks did it by feel, touching the outside of the lid with their fingers. (This cannot be done safely with the imitation products that transmit heat.) A second reason is that we cannot guarantee the quality of thermometers since we do not manufacture them.

  • With normal care and use Imperial Kamado can easily provide 20-30 years of cooking pleasure. "Not like Taiwan-made" that becomes brittle after few years of use. Imperial Kamado is handcrafted by a skilled technique that works...that's why we are the original !!!

  • Experience is the best teacher and practice makes perfect. So join thousands of other Kamado users and enjoy for yourself the great features, and fabulous cooked foods that are synonymous with Imperial Kamado. We want you to find out for yourself why we have been saying for over 30 years that; "TASTING IS BELIEVING".
