WARNING! & Important
Care Instructions
Warning:
-
Use SHICHIRIN only outdoors
and in well-ventilated area because of open flame.
(Do not use SHICHIRIN indoors)
-
Do not use under strong
windy circumstances if you do not have any wind break
protection.
-
Place the SHICHIRIN on the
concrete or the concrete block foundation/table or other
heat resistant area
since the SHICHIRIN's bottom gets hot when in use. Do not set
directly on
wooden floor or deck.
-
Do not unnecessarily transport
while in use.
-
Do not extinguish the fire
with water and do not wash the unit with water. However,
make sure to extinguish the fire completely after each use. We
recommend a heat resistant plate to cover the top
of the SHICHIRIN to cut off the air supply from the
open end in addition to closing the bottom draft door. ["KESHITUSBO"
(a container to save and store glowing,
unspent charcoal for future use...this fuel re-ignites easily the next
time) is available as a separate sale item].
-
Do not touch the metal
portions while it is hot, use gloves (included in
the SHICHRIN pack) to handle.
-
Keep children away and locate
the unit in safe place when using.
Important
Care Instruction:
-
The unit will crack easily
because of the material used in its creation, KEISODO.
-
SHICHIRIN is not designed for
water or wet weather (even heavy moisture). Please
keep it in a dry area.
-
Handle it like any other
breakable utensil.
-
When not used for a long
periods of time, recommend putting it in a plastic bag and into the
original carton box, and store it in the dry area.
-
If your SHICHIRIN gets wet,
please do not use it right way, let it dry out slowly and
completely before using it. (if you place it
in the direct sun to dry rapidly, it may crack
easily on re-use).
-
Small hair-line cracks will not
affect your cooking but a SHICHIRIN that falls apart becomes a hazard and
very dangerous, so please check the unit before use.
